I have been curious about creating a drip effect in Canva
especially to show something juicy through design from the last couple of
months. Although I have watched a couple of tutorials on Youtube some of them
were not fulfilling my need and the rest were using an external platform
“Photopea” which is a kind of online shorter version of Photoshop. I have
learned a technique from Nino (A person behind “Canva design secrets”) but
again for his technique, we need to use the special shape and colors which sometimes
become a hurdle and doesn’t work for everyone.
In this tutorial, I will share my technique to create an amazing drip effect in Canva for any item/image, etc.
You can watch the
video of this tutorial on my Youtube channel but before that, I would recommend
you to read below important steps for your quick understanding.
Step 1- Select any shape of your choice with any color.
Step 2- Select any drip effect from the Canva elements library and change the color of this drip effect into white or matching with your background color.
Step 3- Download this slide as a PNG/JPG image.
Step 4- Upload this image again and apply Remove background from
effects. (This feature is available for Canva Pro users only).
Step 5- After background removal, You will see that the drip area
of your selected shape has become hollow or see-through, Now you can insert any
image behind this drip effect.
Important point – You might see some small areas in which background removal
couldn’t remove completely so use erase option and delicately remove the
unwanted parts.
Now start creating
juicy drip effects for your design in Canva and share with me 😊
